Although Glasgow, located in the western Lowlands, is not the capital of Scotland, it is the largest city in the country with a population of over 635,000, as well as the third largest city in the entire United Kingdom. Known primarily as a working-class city, Glasgow is home to four universities and was also the venue for the 26th World Climate Change Conference in 2021.

Kelvingrove and Centre for Contemporary Art

Despite its reputation as a working-class and former industrial city, Glasgow has a lot to offer culturally.
