Benidorm is a Spanish city on the Costa Blanca and is located in the southwest of the country. The lively city is especially popular with holidaymakers in summer because of its many long sandy beaches. We tell you what other things you shouldn't miss in Benidorm!

The beaches of Benidorm

Aigüera Park is the perfect place for concerts and performances. Here you can enjoy great entertainment and music under palm trees. From here, it's also not far to the beach promenade of Playa Levante.

Playa Levante is the main beach of Benidorm and stretches over 2 kilometres. Most of the restaurants and hotels are very close to it. If you want to go to a quieter beach, you should choose Playa Poniente.

Between these two beaches is the Balcón del Mediterráneo. The Balcón del Mediterráneo is a terrace on a rocky outcrop from which you have an unforgettable panoramic view of the sea. If you like, you can also take a short detour to one of the cafés next to it.

If you are more into thrills, you should visit Terra Mítica. With 20 rides, it is the largest amusement park in Benidorm. The five different themed areas in the park have everything from small carousels to a huge overhead roller coaster.

Shopping and other experiences

In Benidorm's indoor market, you can find many stalls selling clothes and souvenirs as well as culinary specialities at the Mercaloix market. The Mercaloix market also has a restaurant where you can satisfy your hunger.

There are also several opportunities for hiking in the Benidorm region. Not far from Benidorm is the Sierra Helada Nature Park, which offers various hiking trails. You can either hike on the cliffs of the coast with a view of the Mediterranean Sea or enjoy nature further inland.

Of course, the evening pub crawl is not to be missed in Benidorm on the streets coloured in neon lights. On Calle Cerona, there are numerous bars, discos and pubs that offer everything from live bands and DJs to foam parties.
