The market place and culinary specialities

The best place to start your tour of Wroclaw is the historic Market Square. From the market square you can quickly reach the most important sights of the city. Here you will find the city's landmark, the old city hall. There are also many Wilhelminian style houses to admire on the market square. The Jaś and Małgosia (Hansel and Gretel) houses, which are connected to each other, are particularly worth seeing.

Wroclaw also has a lot to offer in terms of cuisine. Poland is the home of pierogi and pączki. Pierogi are filled dumplings that come in different varieties and are part of Poland's traditional cuisine. If you prefer sweet, you should definitely try pączki with jam filling.

Action in the water

Wroclaw is surrounded by water, as the city is located directly on the Oder River. In summer, you can make great use of the water and explore the city on a kayak, canoe or boat.
